2017 EXHIBITIONS:

PONYTESS, FAIRY FALLS

Opening Wine Reception Thursday March 23, 6-9 PM

The Tigermen Den is pleased to announce the opening of Fairy Falls, a solo exhibition by Ponytess. On view will be eight paintings and an additional 84 works on paper.

"Ponytess is a Honduran American painter and book artist from Kenner, Louisiana. In Fairy Falls, she painted waterfalls and fairies to remember the happiness she felt when she visited Portland, Oregon last summer. Ponytess's new paintings conjure the purest enjoyment she felt while she was on vacation. In the forests of the Northwest, the lush greenery and crisp fresh air along with the pulsing, infinite, vibrating rush of the waterfalls felt so magical that she saw fairies floating around her and she was enchanted. These paintings manifested out of a special feeling of wonder of just being blessed with the gift of sight that is seen and unseen, and also imagined".

The works on paper range from drawings, inky paintings, to collographs; her themes include expressive portraiture, mermaids, ink blot abstractions, and more. The entire show is up for one night only, but a selection of paintings and works on paper will be on display by appointment or chance until April 6. Go to www.veronicacross.com/ponytess-images/ for a preview of the work.
